Hey Reader, One of the biggest mistakes I used to make was thinking I needed a perfectly clean desk, a full afternoon, and all my supplies within arm’s reach before I could create something. The problem? Summer doesn’t really work that way. Most days, I’m sitting by the pool, watching the boys play in the backyard, or waiting through practices and activities. If I only crafted when everything was “just right,” I wouldn’t create much at all. Instead, I’ve learned to build a simple grab-and-go creative kit. A small zipper pouch filled with a few favorite supplies—some pre-cut embellishments, stickers, a notebook, a pen, and adhesive—is often all I need to capture a memory, journal a thought, or work on a project for a few minutes. Sometimes I'll bring a mini printer with too. The secret isn’t having more time. It’s making creativity easy enough to happen in the small pockets of time you already have. So here’s a challenge for you this week: What could you put into a small pouch or bag that would let you create wherever summer takes you? You might be surprised how much gets done when your supplies are ready before inspiration strikes. Are you a visual learner? Check out the (short!) mini crafting kit video I posted recently!
